Genre-crossing compilation of original tracks from an amazing lineup of artists. All the tracks are based around the concept of 'MONOPHONIC' (monaural) music, and overall the project has a downtempo experimental feel. Features tunes from Towa Tei, Takeo Toyama, The Firefly Clan, Mr. Velocity (Kazuhiko Maeda + Toshiyuki Yasuda), Morgen Fisher, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Pecombo, Meu Coracao, Snoweffect, Toshiyuki Yasuda, Sstoru Wono, Si Begg, Akira Yamasaki and Bajune Tobeta. The last track, credited to "MONOPHONIC-ENSEMBLE" is a remix by Toshiyuki Yasuda using one track from each of the other 14 songs, made to sound more like a 16-man remix than a megamix.
