Texas Pandaa Grumble About The Song Writing Process
Texas Pandaa recently wrote on their blog about how people often make jokes at their expense about only releasing two albums in over 10 years of activity. They on the other hand are amazed they were able to release two albums in over 10 years. They gave a little insight about their song writing process and even posted some mp3s of demo tracks which will be made available here. As an example, they used their 2nd albums self titled song “DAYS”. While in the song writing process and under constant pressure from Zankyo Record , a recording was laid down at home, which you can hear the mp3 here However, all the members ridiculed this song. They criticized her elementary singing, and her crap guitar playing. Despite the ridicule, the band came together and through a trial-and-error process they pieced together song piece by piece. They rearranged the guitar s and came up with this song which resembles the final song much more closely. Listen to the rearranged music here. After many rearrangements, they had finally arrived at their goal, after being on the verge of having a hernia. This particular song took one year, so the band hopes now that all their fans have a better understanding of why it takes so long. Although some people mockingly say they will release their album in another 3 or 4 years, Texas Pandaa is already busy starting up the process for their new album. Here is a sample of a new song they might integrate into their next album. Asako even got into the mix and added her thoughts here. What is this? We don’t know!
