New Logo?
Before we could even post an explanation we recieved a few emails asking what the new logo is on the bottom right hand side of hearjapan.com. This logo:
is called the L-mark. It is an RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) mark. The mark signifies that all content on the HearJapan site is legal and all individuals involved in the production of the music are fully compensated. Although most of our fans knew this already, now you can feel super good knowing that with your purchase you are supporting the hard working and often under compensated artists here on HearJapan. We really do appreciate all of our customers who purchase and enjoy the music which is offered on HearJapan and please continue to do so in the future. We would recommend to avoid shopping at digital music stores that sell a lot of Japanese music that do not feature the L-mark. There is a good possibility that it is an organized crime outfit that is making money off of other artists work. Rest assured that HearJapan is the best place to do shopping and have the artists fully compensated in every way. Please take notes of the JASRAC, E-license, and JRC logos on the bottom of our homepage. These are all the logos of Japanese copyright organizations that we are affiliated with. Through these deals, we ensure that the artist will recieve compensation for their music. We here at HearJapan respect all people who work hard and produce beautiful content and we thank you for doing the same.
