Unearth A Treasure of Measure Label Punk Rock Gems from HearJapan
Yokohama, Japan – January 28, 2010 – As we move into a new decade, HearJapan takes a moment to look back to the late 1990s. Specifically, the long-lost era of pre-internet punk rock!
Japan’s Measure Label was a champion of that late-’90s punk sound, and HearJapan is proud to make their catalog available around the world for the first time ever. HearJapan President Nathan Reaven has his own powerful memories of the label: “I first discovered Measure Label when I came to Japan in High School. I loved their DIY attitude and bought a bunch of their stuff. I never expected to be able to finally show the world these unheard punk albums in such a big way.”
Measure Label covers all the bases, with Okinawa flavored punk (INDIAN-HI, melodic punk like (MONSOON, AI-SEE) crazy experimental metal (JACK BADRA) and so much more for true punk lovers to discover. So jump in face first and see what the world has been missing!
