Dr. Usui, globally active track maker for the Electropop unit Motocompo has dropped his debut solo album, “Datajockey”!!
Armed with only his mind and computer, Dr. Usui has taken a minimalist approach in creating this album, with a complete lack of excessiveness in both creation and end product, you can expect a high degree of sonic purity in this work.
Well acquainted with the European Electro scene, Dr. Usui has quite the reputation with his edgy synth work and club kid oriented rhythms. Upon hearing samples of his works, the promoters for the new-found "Great Escape" festival in the U.K. were quick to offer him a gig in the upcoming event (only one months notice, mind you!). Needless to say, at the present, Dr. Usui is excitedly preparing for this show. Some other Japanese acts participating in this festival include, Doping Panda and Monobright.
Immediately after “Datajockey” was complete, Dr. Usui received a call from French diva, YSA Ferrer, who went on to tell him that she had made a remix and that it had hit the Top 40 charts in France.
