DJ BAKU is back with an extremely hot release. This amazing work takes the most wretched noises and fuses them into beautiful sounding music. 3 tracks from this new album are being sold exclusively through HearJapan in mp3 format. To hear one of the best DJs to come out of Japan this decade, you best check this out! Also by purchasing all 3 tracks you get more artwork from the album.
Here are detailed descriptions of all the tracks we are providing (Listen to the Samples as well):
AKBAH ATTACK:
DJ BAKU loves drums, but he isn't trying to make Drum n' Bass tracks. Although it's only 93 bpm it sounds more like double that, but who's counting? Akbah Attacks starts off with some screeching guitar samples to kick off an epic punk and ska inspired track full of crisp rides, acoustic drum samples, thick midrange electronic bass, vocal samples taken from punk and ska tracks, and a little help from his boy Yohei, singer from the hardcore band Black Ganion. Punk feel with Electronic programming, interesting mix, definitely cutting-edge material. Anyone a fan of fusing completely different genres would benefit from listening to this one.
VOID IT OUT feat. doseone:
Abstract Hip Hop beat made with an SP-1200, accompanied with some very nice jazz samples to construct a smooth and fresh track, with Indie Hip Hop stalwart and Anticon member, Dose One laying some profound rhymes over it. Baku's been trying to collaborate with Dose One for a while, and when he made this track he had only Dose One on his mind to lay down vocals. His wishes have been fulfilled and the end-product is dope track. Can't wait to see these two play live together!
STREET IS YOURS:
DJ BAKU's finest four-on-the-floor bpm range track. DJ Baku has always been a connoisseur of House music, but he isn't about making tracks that make people want to dance for a long time. That's why he took a more Hard Rock to a quasi-House beat. Combining 90s era Rock samples and digital Funk, STREET IS YOURS has retro yet futuristic feel to it, kind of like watching Johnny Mnemonic in the present, sans the cheesiness. The title for this track was inspired by skater Dennis Busenitz. Definitely a great track to drive fast or skate fast.
IT'S AMAZING!!!!!
3 tracks are the high lights of the whole album, and they are the dopest shit i've ever come across this year so far!!!! GET IT NOW!!!
