The original “Fotonovela” was released in Spain in 1984 as a re-debut Single by the artist IVAN, which sold 2.5 million copies throughout Europe in the subsequent year. It was a huge hit to say the least. Released in Japan by Epic in 1985, it became the talk of the dance floors of Tokyo, at the time.

This version of “Fotonovela” keeps the same melancholic melody as the original, bringing into mind the passionate feelings of a Mediterranean mid-summer night, add Douglas’ falsetto vocals to the mix for an excellent dance track.

Promos “Fotonovela” were sent out to various DJs around Europe before the official release, receiving much praise, especially in France. This song has also gained positive some attention throughout Asia. Will it get the same attention in the North America? Perhaps San Francisco would be a good starting point.
