"PHUTUREFUNK" is the title of Japanese club scene pioneer, DJ 19's much anticipated first solo album. As the prolific and versatile artist that he is, DJ 19 has released many mixes and singles, but never a full-length album of only his works on his own label. This is pretty much every artist's dream realized, right here.

"PHUTUEFUNK" is a brilliant album that explores the diversity and magnificence of DJ 19's production technique and catalog. The listener is treated to a plethora of emotionally charges works, encompassing the Chicago House influenced intro, several beautifully textured Deep House tracks (some with tribal influences), Jazz Breaks, straight-up New York soulful House, Trance, and of course the genre that pretty much started rave-culture, Acid House.

All in all, this is a well-done album. For the older listener, it'll take you back to those club/rave days of yesteryear, and for the younger audience, this is a great introduction to a lifetime of partying.
