MEIKO and Hatsune Miku double down on the erhu and the Yashiko for a song for the rain. Blending the natural feel of Asian stringed instruments and the softness of vocaloid has never sounded so good. The yashiko used in this song is a custom model that replaced the wooden material with that of the Okinawan instrument, the sanshin. Compared to the dry sound of a typical Yashiko, this custom build is comparable to the softness of an erhu.
