To promote their upcoming tour, "DuelJewel TOUR '08 "eighteen grey/eight butterfly"", which kicks off on October 4th, DuelJewel decided to release a digital only single. Initially this single was only to be sold digitally through Japanese cell phone companies however the band was not satisfied with this. Wanting to give fans all around the world a chance to purchase "against" DuelJewel decided to join forces with HearJapan. Because of this, HearJapan is now offering the exclusive worldwide digital release of "against". Not only is HearJapan the only store to offer it worldwide, but we are the only store to sell the single in high quality but also DRM-Free.

This release will be the single version of against which will also appear on the album as an album version. “against”, written by Shun, is a powerful track which touches all the right nerves. Some of the tracks highlights include a melodic chorus before a heavy buildup and furious screams along with deep and intricately crafted bass lines.

Askew Magazine wrote this of the single, "The song enters with an explosive guitar intro and filtered vocal loop that immediately establishes it as a superb concert song, guaranteed to get masses of people jumping to the fast paced beat. When the first verse hits, Hayato’s distinguishable vocals grace the listener’s ear with their melodic smoothness. Throughout the song the guitar work tends toward attempting a slightly harder sound with a few sporadic flares, but overall does not seem as inspired as the powerful guitars on the recent “Iolite” single. Surprisingly, the most impressive aspect of “against” is the frequent bass grooves that flow and give an extra boost to the energy making the listener want to bob along with it. Also, the filtering and electronic effects within the song meshed well."
