Formed in 2004 by Kono (lead guitar) and influenced by Emo, Post Core, and Post Rock, this group of four, including Masa (bass), Hiro (guitar), and Tachinbanan (drums), are an active instrumental band. With tunes balancing emotional and heavy accoustics, roaring sounds, and a force beyond hard-core, Te' creates well-organized compositions painted with delicate phrases. Doing away with unnecessary lyrics, they are able to express emotion and affect the senses through instrumentation alone. They released an album in the United States followed by a tour with 65daysofstatic. Through their intense live performances and high quality sounds Te' has gained rave reviews and a huge fan-base, including the popular band, Tokyo Jihen. Each album's cover art uses the same pattern, but is distinguished by color, and every song and album title contains exactly 30 Japanese characters. Their rule of having every title be 30 characters makes their song titles insanely long in Japanese or English and makes them stand out from the pack. They are also supported by Fender USA and have been slated to play in the RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2008 in EZO.
