Alvino is an acronym for ALchemy, vision, and normal. The band themselves seems to find comfort in a nonsensical name. Like their name, ALvino is a combination of members from Visual Kei supergroups. Jun was in the band Pierrot and Koji was in La'crymaChristi. In ALvino they have left their previous images for more honest representations of their true selves. They held an audition for a vocalist and throngs showed up but they selected, Shota, an amateur at the time. Despite the fact they have dropped the visual image and play a different genre now and the bands they play with don't fit into one predefined genre, they are still featured in visual kei media.
