Acoustic duo BE THE VOICE first met while at art college - Shunji Suzuki plays acoustic guitar and Junko Wada sings with her pure and natural voice. They were given their name by Yukihiro Takahashi, a famous Japanese musician.

The group first made their debut in 1998 with their album "BEAUTY SALON". They later got a lot of attention for a song they did for a compilation CD from fashionable Daikanyama-based bonjour records, Ribbon in the Sky, a Stevie Wonder cover rearranged in a bossa nova style. Most of their fans come from the cafe music scene in Japan. All this support led to them releasing a few albums through major labels, producing music in Korea for dramas and commercials and assembling audiences of 2000 people. Besides playing in Japan they also go to far away places like Russia to play their borderless music. When it comes to Japan, they are often playing in intimate settings like cafes and outside festivals.

The duo have recently been producing a lot of music for TV commercials, as well as developing their own home page and working on various art projects. These multi-talented artists also released their newest album, "Groundscape" in July of 2009.
