Byee The Round formed in 2003 playing around the Shimokitazawa area in Tokyo, infamous as the hub of Japanese indies music. Their music is mostly hard rock with influences of progressive rock, garage punk, and blues weaving in and out of the melodies. The lead singer Kouta, only sings in Japanese with common themes such as lust, perversion, loss, resentment, disdain, and everything that makes us human. These themes are often song in an objective manner, as if sung from a non-human perspective. Musically, there are a lot of sudden changes in rhythm, making a mixture of chaotic breaks with lavish melodies. After starting in 2003, Byee The Round released a demo CD each year with a limited release of 500 copies each. During this time, they played frequently in Shimokitazawa and also did tours running up and down Japan. In 2006, they took part in a various artists compilation by Rinky Dink Studio entitled "Cookieleaf." In 2007 after rejecting offers from indies labels, Byee The Round set up their own labeled known as, "Cock Lobster Records." On August 17, 2007, they released their first album, "Give Me A Chocolate" followed by a 3 month national tour.
