Clean Of Core is a three person instrumental rock group. The band is led by the guitarist, Takeda Sunao and Katou Kenta who were high school classmates in Chiba. The band formed in 2005. After choosing the name "Clean Of Core" the band went straight into writing songs. After building up a small arsenal the band started performing live. Without having a vocalist to lean on the band made sure that their music evoked emotions and made sure ever single note played was hard yet tight. The band has a certain progressive flair to their sound which focuses on the acute. To make up for a lack of lyrics they try to imagine lyrics while writing each song.

They have been deeply influenced by vans like Battles, Lightning Bolt and Mars Volta. They also have a love for the 70's progressive scene; King Crimson and Yes in particular. While the band certainly respects these bands, they do not take the term 'progressive' lightly to heart. Since the adjective means going forward, the band is constantly pushing their music to the limit to create a new sound that is also danceable.

The band has a DIY attitude that has led them to appear in festivals like 'do it 2008' and appear on TV. They have also played with many foreign bands like Scrap of tape, Salome Lego Playset, Marvins Revolt, The Spook of the Thirteenth Look, Mike Watt, Andrew Moran, Saxon Shore and others. The band is making their debut album (Autumn 2009) on the same label as sgt. and Wooderd Chiarie in Japan. They will also release a European edition through Transduction Records.
