While the band's decked out image can be deceiving, don't judge a book by it's cover. Despite the band's intimidating appearance, the playful antics of lead singer MYM give them a down to earth vibe. The band considers itself goth and fans abroad consider them visual-kei. Image-wise they fit into the two categories nicely, but musically MYM's cute vocals create a euphoria while the band's heavy riffs keep it hard.

Gagaaling formed in 2005 with CHERRY and MOTO serving as the foundation for the band. MYM decided to become a singer on a whim after being overwhelmed by a Rolling Stones concert and magically came into contact with the two. Interestingly enough, CHERRY was also a member of Lindberg, an incredibly popular rock band from the 90s who coincidentally also had a female lead singer.
