Luminous Orange New Songs

Since Luminous Orange's formation in 1992, their unique song writing style keeps stimulating Rock fans who are sick of mainstream Rock, all the while inspiring fellow musicians and followers such as Number Girl, Hidaka (Beat Crusaders,Condor44, etc.) Cornelius and Ian Masters (ex.Pale Saints). These artists were so enchanted by Luminous Orange's music that they released their works on their labels, Trattoria and Friendly Science, which result in excellent chart positions and total sales of 22,000 copies.

Luminous Orange consists of vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Rie, guitarist & songwriter, with support coming form an array of superb musicians. Elegant and feminine vocals are layered over brilliant, yet sometimes rough guitars and synths combined with up-tempo rhythms that are influenced by bossanova ,electronica and classic impressionism.

Lumi nous Orange was selected as one of the performers for Colette's millennium party in Paris, CMJ Music Marathon 2001 & 2004 and Austin's SXSW2006 and SXSW2007.

Furthermore, Rie's vocals have been featured on several tracks of Ian Masters' Friendly Science Orchestra and the single "Miniature Album" was selected as NME's "Single of The Week".

Ian Masters has sung on a few Luminous Orange tracks as a guest vocalist, as well.
