The band's theme is often described as, "Occult Romance." Vidolls' 5 members span from all over Japan. In 2006 two new guitarists joined the band and from that point on, their music became purer. The songs tend to focus on actual events that happened in Japan such as group suicides, war, child killers, etc. Since forming in 2002, Vidoll has steadily grown more popular in Visual kei circles and now sells out almost every venue they play at (including "one-man lives"). In 2007 Vidoll left Kisaki's Under Code Productions and signed up with the newly created Sword Records. Since then they have released two maxi singles and a new album coming shortly. In total they have released over 20 releases and taken part in over 16 Various Artist compilations. Within the Visual kei scene they are currently considered to be in the top class of Visual kei artists. They have a new single coming out in July of 2008.
