Formed in Japan's northernmost Hokkaido in 2007, device color are a 5-man emo rock band. Made up by female vocalist Miku, bass player Otuka, guitarists Ryo and Kirimoto, and drummer Kenichi, they draw on strong influences from the US indie rock, emo and postrock scenes, while working in their own unique style. Their first demo recording, released in 2007, quickly sold out, and was followed in 2009 by their first mini-album.
