Curly Giraffe With J-pop Stars

Curly Giraffe is a one-man band by Kiyoshi Takakuwa. Originally a graphic designer based in Tokyo, Kiyoshi started his professional musical career in the late '80s as a bassist in cult bands Rotten Hats and GREAT 3. After Great 3's decision to step down from the scene, Kiyoshi began Curly Giraffe, making his solo debut in 2005 with a limited EP exclusively available at Tower Records, which quickly sold out. He followed up with two albums, to wide-ranging success, and spring 2009 sees the release of his third. Curly Giraffe is also busy as a supporting musician for other singers and bands, both on tour and on record, including Chara, Cocco and many other popular acts.
