Profile written from the man himself!!
Music Background:
Starting out as a mobile party DJ in California in 1995, I began to make way underground by way of DJ competitions. I've probably been in about 15 or more battles by now, mostly in California.
My best experiences battling were winning a San Diego battle at a store called "Harper's Music", top four in the San Diego "Freestyle Session" battle, and doing a set at the DMC Regional Finals in Phoenix, Arizona.
From 1997 to 1998 I was hosting a radio show at San Diego State University called "Distorted Frequencies", which was originally put on by my friend Mike Naughty (Detonation Music).
At the same time I was part of a group called "Unknown Entity", consisting of two Djs (10Shun, myself) and two MCs (Rokon, Dizzy Order). We put out a 12 inch EP entitled "The +/- Effects EP".
I also helped to produce a track and contributed my scratching to a song called "Gigabits", which is on a compilation CD/12 inch called "Blastoff!", including artists Zion I, Dream Sequence, mic.edu, and Emanon.
Since coming to Japan, I have Dj'ed at various events in Tokyo and Saitama, participated in a few battles, (DMC, Vestax "No Tricks") and released a few mix CDs. My most current work is entitled "Kouten" 「交点」, which was previously released under "TempleATS Records".
I'm in the middle of making a new mix CD at the moment, which I hope to release this summer.
