Born in America, Tatsuya Joseph Yoshida made his debut in 1998, as part of the duo Rom=Pari together with his brother Eiji (better known as COM.A, founder of the Romz record label), with the album View from Audio Active's Beats Recordz label. He first donned the Nothing alias for his debut solo album Dummy Variations, released from UK IDM label Planet Mu in 2001, and has stuck with it ever since for his numerous albums and other projects. Creating beautiful, uplifting electronica epics using a mish-mash of samples, and never shying away from the unusual or humorous, Joseph Nothing has won himself a huge fanbase, both in Japan and across the world.
