
Kaya made his debut as the vocalist and lyric writer for Schwarz Stein (produced by Mana from MALICE MIZER) in 2002. The band grew rapidly in popularity but disbanded in 2004 and Kaya became a free agent.
In 2006 Kaya reinvented himself as a solo artist and released his first singly on July 10th, 2006. Kaya's new solo career focused heavily on aesthetic beauty and sexual liberation. As a multi-talented solo artist, Kaya makes all the lyrics, CD cover design, makeup, costume design, concert organization and performance by himself. Kaya works hard to make his shows memorable and entertaining by using dancers, drag queens and ballerinas as props. Kaya's shows also feature lots of skits and talking by Kaya. Kaya's musical style ranges from jazz to chanson to French pop. 2008 was a big year with over 40 concerts culminating with Kaya's performance at Pacific Media Expo in California.

Kaya was the first vocalist for ALvino but do to musical differences the collaboration never took off.
Kaya's sister is the anime singer "Noriko".
Kaya used to go by the name Hime before Schwarz Stein.
