If you could describe Mari Kaneko in one phrase it'd be, an unforgettable, unique and natural vocalist whit a strong sense of individualism.

Mari began her career in the early 70's, hooking up with loads of legendary bands along the way. She's been dubbed the Janis Joplin of Shimokitazawa.

Recently she's been doing a lot of solo work, releasing her 5th solo album, "Kaneko na Riyuu." She is the mother of two members of the band RIZE, Nobuaki Kaneko (drums) and Kenken (bass).
