Japan Newbie Covers Osama

Osama is the alias of a proficient Japanese guitarist. Osama has nothing to do with terrorism but is Japanese for "The King". After graduating college, he become a salary man but quit after one year. After that he became a wonderer and eventually found a job as a CD shop staffer. While doing his stint at the CD Shop he started to write music. After a lengthy trial and error process, Osama found his calling. He would play western rock but directly translate the lyrics in to Japanese and sing classic rock tunes in Japanese. At the time he had substantial facial hair which resembled the king card in playing cards so he took on the name Osama (king).

He first started making TV appearances on late night TV shows and being a supporting guitarist for many groups. In 1995 he released his first CD, "Fukamurasaki Densetsu". He focuses on remaking classic 60-70s rock songs into Japanese.

In 2009 he released old releases which were previously not releasable due to difficulties in clearing the rights.
