Ametsub is based in Tokyo. He participated in [ v.a. forma 2.03 ] that was released from PROGRESSIVE FOrM at the age of 20, he got a reputation for having the best music on this compilation. 1st album [ Linear Cryptics ] was released from PROGRESSIVE FOrM in 2006. The album received a lot of positive response, and he played the live at sonarsound tokyo of which the origin is sonarsound of world's largest electronic music festival, His show by Game-Boy(NINTENDO) also attracted an audience. He has done ample remixes of overseas artists as well as participated in numerous compilations. Afterwards, He co-stared with Vladislav Delay, Bichi (Blue Foundation), Ian O'brien, AOKI takamasa, Takemura Nobukazu, and Numb etc. In 2007, He appeared on the stage of big music festival named "Sense of Wonder". His show enchanted a lot of people and was broadcast on space shower TV, as a result, his appearance at next years show was written in stone.

In summer 2008, He played the live in Laugavegur 22, Reykjavik, ICELAND ! An irregular collaboration with Jimanica (drum) started as "Jimanica x Ametsub" in 2007, and the mini album [ surge ] was released. Their first show was played together in PARA, clammbon and toe, and they played at the show at Nagisa Music Festival.

An organic melody enchants a lot of audiences also in his live performance. A sharp, warm rhythm surely gets the listener to dance. A sound of the piano which he plays is melancholic fleeting with nostalgia. He has a beautiful original view of the dark world and makes the music that seems to draw a scene.

Ametsub's new album "The Nothings of The North" was released on February 4th, 2009.
